Privacy Policy
Trisha Brimmer Design ("I", "me", "my") is a creative direction and brand strategy studio based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information I collect through trishabrimmerdesign.com, why I collect it, and what I do with it. I follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What I collect
When you fill out the contact form, I collect your name, email address, company, website, the service you're interested in, and anything you choose to tell me in your message.
When you book a call, the booking tool collects your name, email address and the time you choose.
When you browse the site, basic technical information may be collected automatically, like your browser type, device, the pages you visit and roughly where you're visiting from. This comes from website hosting logs and, if enabled, analytics.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk about whether we're a good fit
- To prepare proposals, schedule calls and deliver work if we go on to work together
- To send invoices and keep business records, as required by law
- To understand how people use the site, so I can make it better
I don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. I won't add you to a mailing list unless you ask me to.
Who I share it with
I use a small number of trusted service providers to run my business, and they only receive what they need to do their job:
- Webflow, which hosts this website and processes contact form submissions
- Bonsai, which I use for booking calls, proposals, contracts and invoicing
- Google Workspace, for email and file storage
- Google Analytics, if enabled, to measure site traffic
Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, your information is subject to the laws of that country.
I may also share information if I'm required to by law.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies to make it work properly and, if analytics is enabled, to understand how it's used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work if you do.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry details for up to two years, so I have context if you get in touch again. If we work together, I keep project and financial records for seven years, as required for tax purposes. After that, they're securely deleted.
How I protect it
I use reputable, secure platforms, strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and I limit access to your information to what's needed to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect what you share with me.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it (unless I'm legally required to keep it). You can also withdraw your consent to me using your information at any time. Just email me and I'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
